Cologne

I had higher expectations for Cologne, but it was still a good time. The Cathedral here is nuts. Looking forward to what Frankfurt has in store for me.

Colognerdom!

Hamburg

For as big of a city as Hamburg is, it is kinda blah. There just doesn't seem to be a whole lot going on. I was lucky enough to catch my 2nd "pride" festival and it was disturbing... to say the
least. Off to Cologne tomorrow.

Fire dancers!

Cool picture from the fireworks display.

Copenhagen

Took a quick flight up to Copenhagen to meet up with a friend. I did not realize that Copenhagen was so expensive. $12 for a cup of coffee in the city center... yikes! Because it was so expensive, I decided to only stay for one day, plus there was not a whole lot to see.

Antwerp

Couldn't take anymore Amsterdam, so I took a short trip down to Antwerp. I had a legit Belgian Waffle and some pretty tasty beer. I guess Antwerp is the diamond capital of the world and it really showed with the kind of cars that were driving around.

Antwerp at dusk.

Amsterdam

The only thing crazier than the city of Amsterdam is the city of Amsterdam during "pride" weekend. It was insane. For me, the city was not all it is cracked up to be, but being in Europe, I had to go.Yeah... I destroyed that entire burger!

Not sure exactly what building that is, but it made for a cool picture.

Paris

Everything that I have been told about Paris has not been accurate. First of all, the people here do speak English, at least some and they are generally pretty nice. I have only run into one rude person. Saw the finale of "Le Tour de France" and it was amazing.

The pack of riders.

Yeah, I was that close.

The winner, Contador, in the traditional yellow jersey.

Interlaken

Interlaken is a small town at the base of the Alps. It is known as the adventure capital of Europe. It is the best city that I have been to in Europe and will be definitely be going back. I went on a canyoning trip and did one of the worlds largest bungee jumps, 450ft.

The bungee jump.

Milan

One would think that there would be a lot to do in a city like Milan, but there really is not. The city is home to the most expensive shopping area in the world, but does not have much else going for it. There is one cool cathedral too.

Me, in front of the only thing Milan has to offer.

Florence

Florence was a cool city and had a lot of character, but there was not a lot to do there. Good thing I was only there for a day and a half.

A cathedral.

Rome

When I was leaving Barcelona, I misread the bus schedule which caused me to miss the first bus. The next bus would only get me to the airport 5 minutes before the gate closed for my flight. Somehow I made it though Visa check, baggage, security and still made it onto my flight. After not getting much sleep in Barcelona, I had gotten sick. I was so sick that I did not get to see a single thing in Rome. Oh well, I can always go back.
